 Every spring, I try my luck on these dwarf iris. They're only about 4-6 inches tall & they grow in the shade under tall trees. Usually the shallow DOF is my undoing, but every year I look forward to trying. I shoot hand-held, usually at arm's length, usually unable to see exactly what's in the viewfinder.

Wonderful colors for this image but all of the image seems a bit soft even in the sharper areas.
