I find it hard to believe that this is a photograph in the generally accepted usage of the term 'wildlife photography'. It is a good photograph, but I am unconvinced this in the wild. Just in case I am wrong, I am not going to vote.
Edit. To make my voting consistent I am going to vote, but adjust downwards for a photo of a captive animal - if I am wrong, my apologies. |

I'm going to really go out on a limb here and guess that this is from the Jacksonville Zoo I think it's terribly coincidental that the Jaguar in the article has the identical BG as your picture. Such a shame as the animal is beautiful.
As per the challenge description "For the purpose of this challenge, "wildlife" should be considered non-domesticated mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians living in a natural environment. Now that you know what to photograph, take your best shot"!
Having spent the last week "hunting wildlife" in my local area, risking injury, donating blood to the local mosquito blood banks. I will be quite disappointed to find out that this is indeed taken at a Zoo. No matter the beauty of the subject. |

I've seen all of the entries. I liked this one from the first for its rich colors and focus on the face.
I hate to sound mean.... (really! I do!), but... This ... without seeing the competition... and knowing it was a zoo capture... would make me vote a 6.
But... seeing the competition... Now, it's an 8 from me.
