 I got this idea from a client of mine, who collects sports memorabilia. I thought it was a good plan to capture part of "America's favorite pastime" for this challenge.

Tried to get a shot using both a red and a blue background, and the blue was the better choice.

Cropped, bumped up saturation of reds and blues, auto-contrast, despeckle, border added, presto!

Nice composition within the frame. One personal opinion is that the ball looks too "new" and the background too solid - but just a personal take on it.

Wonderful selection of background color - the deep blue really accents the white and red of the ball. I'd like to see just an ever-so-slight rotation down of the ball - so that the stitches did not merge with the top border. Perfect exposure showing great texture on the ball. Black border is (too) powerful. Top 10.
