Really good to see you back! Let me join the chorus of those hoping you can stay a little involved. If the "old masters" hung around a little bit more, it would be a boost for the site :-)
Wonderful image btw: I was one of your 10's.

I'll try to enter more! I've been so busy lately, focusing all my energy on my photo business. I am still an active lurker though hehe ;)

I wish I could edit the photographer's comments, didn't realize it was a members only thing! Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the wonderful comments and votes, it was fun to have an entry again! This is a self portrait, focused with one hand while holding a lamp above my head with the other. Went for a more low key look, which I feel is different from my usual work :)

Aren't you lucky to have such a terrific model always available! :-)
And it's not just a beauty shot, it's a real work of art with the processing! 9

Nice look and focus on the eyes. The softness of his face/torso vs. the sharpness of his hair is odd. Was the camea tilited or is this an added effect.

Masters style lighting - it's almost a monochromatic painting.

Seems a different style for you Justin and goes to show your great versatility. Makes me think of an old master's painting somehow. Very nicely done, good luck!

What a beautiful self-portrait. I love your low key approach, yet the catch lights are perfection. Almost makes me think of an Old Masters in black and white.
