Probably a shoehorn but I really loved this photo, and I have nothing to lose entering it!

Some might recognise this location, but maybe not, it's the same park I took this image at. Well maybe most didn't guess, and yes that's my husband again sitting on the bench. We went away for a couple of days, just the two of us, and we ended up at this park again, very pretty in the winter, but I've never been here in summer, so quite sad to see it so dead, still the trees make up for it.

Maybe not a shoehorn, or if it is, a good one, although at five votes I was sitting on 5.16, so I figured, oh well maybe it wasn't going to be a hit, but by about 15 votes the score only climbed and climbed. I should go with my gut more often.

Once again, as in the solstice challenge, I nearly didn't enter this, actually had another image in most of the week, that really fit the challenge, but I found it incredibly boring, so I then changed it just before voting started.

Congrats on the ribbon, Anita. Fancy all of you being Aussies! The grass around here looks just like that now too. It happened pretty suddenly.

Lovely line of trees against the blue and white sky, with a golden expanse of withered grass before it. The man on the bench, with the hefty backpack and walking stick, re-echoes the metaphor of passing time. Both pretty and wistful. Some halos on tree trunks.
