 This was a controlled burn. I was involved in the process and allowed to get up close to take photographs. The wind was gusting up to 35mph pushing the flames away from me and allowing me to get close. At times within 15 feet. The local fire departments used this for practice.

I very much like the POV & the framing of this shot & the way the perspective flattened. Fascinating. Tried to find words to describe my experience looking at this--can't. It's one shot in the thumb, something completely different when I click it bigger. I like this a lot!
