Congratulations Robert. I can only imagine how you feel; a FS ribbon with a bird! Lovely image with a high capture difficulty. Postcard pretty and all the right flavours for this time of year, red and snow. From what I gather a typically iconic American bird. Had I had a chance to vote in this FS I'd have awarded a 9. My assessment concurs with jjstager2 and glad2badad.

| Robert - I really enjoyed this photo. Well deserved placement in the end results. I like how you have the birds attention, but not so invasive that it's going to spook (although it's probably relatively "warm" and didn't want to move unless it had to). :-) I gave it a 9, the only thing holding back the 10 was the signature of man in the photo (the fence post and slats). |

| Masterful composition! The snowy environment adds drama. Ideal saturatiion. Wonderful detail, especially the eye catch glint. Congrats on your Red ribbon for the "redbird". Cardinals do not prefer the coniferous forests of the Colorado mountains. I miss them. Am enjoying yours immensely. |
