 A sadly deceased praying mantis, found at work and brought home, given a nice bath in chocolate syrup and then photographed in front of a piece of green foam core while being held with a pair of locking pliers.

I used two close-up filters, one +7 and one +10 to really get in there under the little guy's nose. The image was then rotated, cropped, and given some slight color adjustments.

Nice background color that really makes the insect stand out. I also like the angle from which you shot this photo and the way it's cropped. Good luck in the challenge!

Wow this really is a wacky food... But, I like this photo a lot! The green adds a cool contrast against the praying mantis.
