 The image and title Communiqué are a tribute to one of my all time favourite songs and albums (Communiqué by Dire Straits)

I bought a tape version of the album the moment it hit the shelves and have been enjoying it for the past 30 years (replaced eventually by CD). It is a pity that I never got a chance to see them play live.

I have been eyeing this dish farm for a few years. I happened to be driving home on the highway at just the right time (dusk with Waxing Moon and Evening Star) after a photo shoot and pulled up on the shoulder with cars tearing past me at 140 km/h. I shot off a few images trying to get a gap in the traffic, hand held with the the motor running before my nerve ran out or the cops fined me :) PP was a small crop and contrast, brightness, TopazLabs DeNoise5, white balance adjustments to emphasise the blue already there.

Post Rollover: Pretty happy with this finish (at one stage it was at 7.1) Thank you for the votes but more importantly for the wonderful comments.

Beautiful shot, made more beautiful by the Dire Straits reference (hopefully it was intentional). They had an album and song called Communiqué, but this shot is a dead ringer for the cover of their live album On The Night which ironically doesn't feature the song Communiqué.
