So I waited until the last day and didn't have anything. I thought about setting something up, but that didn't really seem right. And I wasn't sure where to go to get a good story.
I went down to Colonial Williambsurg, figuring that people wouldn't been too fond of the stories there, but sometimes I could find other ones anyway.
I did like the people on their way to work, quite a bit:
But then I saw this boy and his dad. It was obviously a day out with dad. This probably would have been a better shot, and I kinda of regret not putting it in.
I love the interaction in the shot, but it seemed like the entry brought it down to just the basics.
The most important story of all:
And what I really wanted to title it, but I thought it was too over the top:
All you need is love
They would walk down the street, stop and point, run a race, hold hands, arms around each other, race again. It left me with such a wonderful feeling.
But I think the entry tells it all.

| Lovely sentiment. The boy's posture implies confidence and pride to be with dad. The DOF choice works well for me too in setting a mood. I'm ambivalent about the upper right sharp foliage. One minute it seems distracting, the next it's providing an interesting focal context. Nice work - a top pick for me. |
