13 year old kid, been riding bulls since he was 7... Pulled his arm a bit, but he walked out of the arena. This was a set of 3 yr old bulls being tested for the PBR... One Tough little bull rider!!!

I also have to give kudos to Rmac, Ron McGinnis, He does rodeo for a living, and since this was a Memorial Day Bull ride with OMG 1000's of pix he talked me into shooting JPG so I wouldn't shoot my self in the foot when it came to editing... I was Leary but I am AMAZED how ez editing they were! (Course I will be back in raw, cause I just don't trust my zone reading!! LOL)

Melethia, Yes on this bull ride, it's a bunch of 3yr old PBR hopefuls that they buck Every Memorial day, It's soo stinking tough if they get two qualified rides all day it's been a good day. So I set her on continuous focus and as fast as she'll go. I don't like continuous focus It just seems to me like nothing is as sharp as it is on single focus, but in cases like this the pen is small and you might get one or two jumps before the cowboy gets dumped.... Long way around saying Yes huh?

This is a fantastic action shot! Great sense of movement stopped in one second of time - that hat flying off the one cowboy, the dust kicked up by the bull, the expressions all show how quick and heart stopping dangerous this moment was.

Great title (good song!) and excellent moment with the cap off his head. Out of curiosity, do you shoot in burst mode?
