 Subtlety - being subtle or the ability to make a fine distinction, but also "a subtle difference in meaning".
I went round and round with this challenge - finally I settled on this image, mainly because I liked the play on the meaning. The flower sure lends itself to the topic, and the book which took the world by storm...
I didn't do much to the image except for turning it into B&W, then a bit of playing around with the lighting and a touch of sharpening.

There are some lovely shots in this chalkenge, where the subtle thing isthe light--this is one. Good job.
