great use of negative space, good solid background and nice subject placement. I think maybe oversharpened though?

Whoo hoo -what a ride. Is that NOT a youngster? Great capture, perfect exposure. It would probably be better if the negative space was in front of the rider rather than behind, but it's a suprb shot nonethless.

Methinks someone is really good in photoshop. He really pops off the background. Great contrast and use of negative space.

This is one of those breathtaking action shots. Bumping up.

Great angle. Perhaps a liitle too high. It looses some clarity - detail, but very good shot. 7.

One of my 3 ten's in this competition, let me say that you are my number 3.
Why do I like this picture?
I like the use of negative space with just one simple subject. You did that.
Wish I would have made this :)

I just can't tell if he is moving or if he was just hanging there waiting for you to shoot...

Great shot!

Great exposure on the sky. The subject has some harsh shadows but I think it works in this composition. I like the use of the space (is it truly negative space with the clouds providing a background of interest that the viewer can peruse?). I wish the subject were just a litlte higher in the composition to put the red helmet closer to the junction of the top and righthand thirds lines; as it is he seems to be almost centered top-to-bottom.
Everytime I look away and look back I notice the rider. This is a solid composition; the subject really pops out of this shot with action. Did you enhance the contrast on the bike rider?

These shots tend to do well and with very good reason. This is an excellent motion capture of a dramatic subject with bright colors and a simple background. My only nitpick would be to move the subject up slightly, but it still looks great like this. Very nice job.
