Very nice. Would be great for leading lines (or would thT require them to be going away?)

Thanks Dennis. Perceptive analysis. Here's the story: My wife and daughter left first. My wife is indeed afraid of falling. I followed later and took the shot.

Nope. These are the tracks of commuters: me, my wife, and adult daughter. Departing daily although normally without any visible trails.

The very clean b/w conversion coincides with the fresh early morning air this is a photo of (well, it is in my mind).

Good one - off to work on a morning when I'll bet they'd rather stay in bed.

Ah yes, the joy of being the first to trample the snow. ;) This has an interesting twist as the steps are coming toward the camera where I am used to lines leading you to something within the shot.
