I was driving the city, checking for birds and the like. I hit up a favourite spot for gulls, thinking I was too early in the season. Boy was I wrong. The gulls had invaded the island and had already set territories. So I climbed down to the river and set up. The island itself, was surrounded by low brush. Blocking any good direct view inside. Where unfortunately, most of the birds were located. Yet a few decent size holes gave a good view and entry. So when you heard birds screaming, usually someone would burst out. Being chased or pulled out. Also a few guards on the outside, seemed to run the show. Chasing people off, this being the case of this shot. Not the best day for light, but still a fun day and shot!
So not too much pp in this image. Mostly some cure adjustments and cropping. Expert editing, not here! lol We'll see.....
Oh and the gull was fine....

Exceptionally beautiful capture. can't image how you managed to get some much in focus, and so much detail in the wings. vawendy? I'm not quite feeling the link to the title though? Not voting down on it, though. Best image in challenge so far.
