This shot reveals more passion and emotion. It's side/back light and leaves a lot of emptiness, isolating the singer and the mic.

This was shot with a single 580exii with a shoot thru umbrella, against a black curtain in the background.

Beautiful Brenda lived to sing. Unfortunately she was a terrible singer and regularly got complaints from her neighbours who banged on the walls and ceiling when she warbled. But she'd show them; one day she'd be a star and get top billing on Broadway, as long as she kept practising.

Great shot and lovely negative space and lighting.
