Maybe not sharp enough to go in the paper, but the emotion is excellent.

Read some of the comments....you handhold a 400/2.8??? I can't even lift a 400/2.8, much less hold it steady for any length of time.

Yes even with the 400MM F2.8 it's all handheld.

Oh Matt, I know on close viewing that it's not quite as cut your finger crisp as most all of your work but wouldn't I be happy with such a capture - there is so much expression/feeling in this shot that I would write off the slight softness. Beautiful as usual.

These are moments we can't see without the help of a camera. Look at those faces! I am still entertained by the thought of a 400mm lens at a basketball game, & impressed with the shots it's getting for you.
