One shot, closeup of water with spray on the surface, and flash from the side towards back. The white specks are not added, they are water spray in the air. I didn't feel like cloning them out, even though I agree that they could be distracting to viewers.
Impression of snow flurries on a winter evening. I was thinking about Turner while making pictures yesterday afternoon. I am trying to find inspiration in his paintings.
Awesome as usual. I actually really love the water specks. You should really open a gallery. So many of your photos would look awesome as big canvas wraps
Your images are like a hug of color. Positive, energizing. Always a treat to the eye & heart.
Thank you for your comments on my image 'I Dreamed the Windows Open,' way back in November. I think we may share some viewpoints on photography. I am looking forward to enjoying your images in this SC, & your thoughts. Long ago, I got a pyrex dish, & I think I have a stage to set up an attempt to try your method out & see what happens. I found my tripod, too. So, we shall see if I can get anything interesting.
this is stunning Ursula. I was thinking Turner even before I read your description :-).
I LOVE abstarcts, so this is just my type of image.
What "surface" did you have the water on? Very beautiful, I think it would make a stunning print too.
My impression, without reading your description was of a dark, threatening winter day. Painterly. A really successful abstract, I think, although for me the white speckles don't really add anything.
Beautiful Natural Abstract! Find the specks a bit distracting, also see a face in the clouds! would be an 8 from me in a free study or landscape challenge! love the moodiness of it.
I can see the Turner in here. This is a beautiful abstract (seascape?) full of the glorious hues that only you can do, the specks detract a little, I keep focusing back on them, then again that makes me look beyond them back into the flows.
