I spotted this Great Grey owl from the road, qiuckly parked my car and tried to walk through a famrers field to take his picture from the from and without branches in his face. Well the snow was easily 3 feet deep and I nearly died getting there! It was a good workout! I kept stopping to a) take a picture before he flew away and b) to catch my breath! Well it ends up he wasn't timid at all and stayed there until I had to leave! I even tried (but not to hard) to get him to fly away. He just gave me "the look"

Amazing creatures. I like the angled pose, the inquisitiveness caught and the direct stare. Good focus in the eyes and great details. Decent BG. Difficult shooting conditions too. Kudos for getting out there.
