This area is on the east side of the island. The larger island in the distance is called Manana island but is commonly referred to as Rabbit island because it sort of resembles the head of a rabbit. There was also a colony of introduced rabbits there but they were eradicated about 30 years ago.

The shot is a ~9 minute exposure in the full moon. One day when the weather conditions are right and there's a quarter moon, I'll try a longer exposure star trail shot.

As I've said before, I'm not a big fan of the whole flowing water/long exposure genre of photography. There is something to be said for the technique, but it is often over done - like sunsets and sunrises it becomes common and the effect loses its punch. In this case, there is some detail so that saves it - a little. A little less time and more detail would have made this a first class image.
