 I haven't dived for years but to me it is a great experience. I used to like to take photos underwater. This shot is against lights in an aquarium. I like how it makes the diver look like flying towards a colorful nebula. Expecting a low score as the diver is blurred. The stick he holds is a confidence trick - to make him feel safe against reef sharks circling around. But they don't normally attack people, otherwise the aquarium would not let the recreational divers in!

Disappointed that this didn't place higher - certainly in my top 5. Photo is aesthetically pleasing, and intriguing, and I like the play on 'Deep'. I think you suffered from a Northern Hemisphere expectation of Winter.

The colors are intriguing, but the white blooms at the top distract from the image's overall impact - in short, no WOW factor. Still interesting.

You almost have a rainbow here. Maybe that's why I'm thinking of sunflowers, in spite of the fact that I've never worn a wetsuit in my life. This is gentle & adventuresome at the same time. Adventuresome because it puts me down below, where the monsters are.
