 Full moon rising through the edge of earth shadow while an elk herd grazes. The elk were dislocated from the park due to the fire.

Lovely peaceful shot - shows how nicely the elk blend in with the surroundings. Almost a three dimensional feel to this. Is that due to the light, do you think?

Nice! the sky is beautiful. Good to catch the elk in a new location, add it to your portfolio. Best wishes for 2013, hope you are recovering from the fire as nicely as these elk!

Spectacular shot, Richard. The soft colors, especially the pinks in the sky, are wonderfully delivered and the elk are an extra special moment to capture (especially at 1/8 second!)
