ive been with my dad and done omaha, sword, gold and juno and the first world war battlefields of the somme and verdun and ypres, such a wasted generation but what a feet those brave men achieved when you stand on those wide open beaches with nothing in site for cover, did you go see the mulberry harbour at arromanches, and the pegasus bridge?)(a good book as well pegasus bridge by the band of brothers author) great bw extenuating the curves |

My father in law was bayoneted on Normandy Beach. He received some scars and a purple heart for it. He's been gone for many years now, but how he loved to talk about it. Very nicely shot! |

That's really cool. Reminds me a bit of the Air Force memorial in Arlington, VA. |
