 This is a Clark's Nutcracker, in flight, thanks to the Birds Side Challenge last Spring. Clark’s Nutcrackers are birds of the mountains. Found in montane evergreen forests from about 3,000 to more than 11,000 feet in the West.

One of my favorite birds.

I can't say that I have ever seen these before. I like how you got it mid-flap, and with such sharp details. The advantages of long primes, i suppose!
