 There's a reason I don't normally do self portraits (and you're looking at it!). LOL! I had taken a few shots for the avatar challenge, not even thinking, no makeup, ratty layaround sweatshirt, etc. I did use the head from this in the avatar (which bombed) but it wasn't big enough to see all the defects. Anyway, this is the only self portrait I did in 2012, so you won't have to see me again! ;D

Apart from the border which I personally don't like, and the pose, which I think could be better, this is a stellar image! You really captured a smile here and that's not easy.

Yep, great portrait...just some details...perhaps sharpening the eyes (unless that's part of retro) and removing the wrinkles from the sheet on the floor.
