Is the relative lack of star movement with a 76 sec exposure due to your northern location? more north, less movement? Seems unfair somehow. (: Congrats on HM! Would love to come up and try this sometime.
No there is another explanation: The lack of movement is because the exposure on the sky was less than 30 sec, after that time I covered the upper part of the lens so there was a 76 sec exposure just on the lower part. You have to try this sometime. Thanks a lot for your comment Dennis ;-)

So beautiful - that emerald green shimmering across the sky must have been something to see! Certainly makes for a gorgeous image. Congratulations on the HM.
