Thanks guys for votes and comments.

I VERY rarely do convert landscapes in B/W but this time I immediately fell in love with this version of the shot.

About the processing: I can say I worked a lot in Camera Raw. The more I improve my editing the more I understand how important is this tool. I worked on clarity and selectively on background and foreground to balance dark and bright areas (it's a double exposure). After some easy steps in Photoshop I opened the image once again in Camera Raw. Well you can see what I got.

I'm extremely happy to read here the name of Ansel Adams. The tones of BW reminded me of him from the beginning! :)

VERY nice work Alessndro- The minute you posted this, I knew I had to go the extra mile/kilometer to beat you this month. The monochrome tones are perfect in this.

The big version of this image is so much better... at 800px it cries and cries and cries ;)

great coopetition you have with Dennis. I am with neat on this - it can easily be mistaken for an Ansel Adams shot and processing.

Exceptionally rendered in B&W, this image evokes moody emotions and textures you can almost touch it. Not tired to visit over and over again. Well done!
