On Monday I was shooting for the website for my brother-in law's shop that makes these lids for trailers. I took a few arty shots and closeups of various things for textures for the backgrounds for site and for possible use in this challenges, but the more I worked on the product shot, the more I liked it better than the arty stuff. So I redid the image in DPC legal fashion, over cropping to hide the edge of the cloth behind, and burning in distracting elements on the bench rather than just filling in with black as I did for the real shot.

I had this pegged for a top 3 - gave it an 8. The lighting, sharpness and detail are stunning. ...I guess in the end there's no emotional connection to the subject. ...like two spoons. I love spoons. ;-)
