This is nicely taken. I think I might have liked it better without the selective desat. Just opinion. Great shot.

I normally don't care for sports photos, but this one is just beautiful! I love the way you've muted the colors. Very, very nice.

Nice job with getting the backlighting right. The desaturation does help sell the light source for me, but there's something just a little to plain about the overall composition. Perhaps had you taken it with the player in an element of the game, it would have given the shot a little more life.

This would have been much better in black and white, or color. not a mixture of both.
