I'm not sure that I recall everything I did to this - as you can see I didn't know when to stop. The last layer was twirled and blended in difference mode, other than that ???

The straight lines created a curiously crystalline effect at nice contrast w/the blur (from twirling?). I find it very relaxing to edit intuitively, but then it is difficult to remember exactly what happened. But who cares, when the result is so awesome!?
