Another shot of Peggy's Cove. Some people do flowers, others do bugs... my fetish for now is the Peggy's Cove lighthouse.

I chose the subject for this challenge since the area is one of the most visited in Nova Scotia and is prominently advertised on many tourism sites on the web.

This is probably one of the heaviest edits I have ever done for colour correction. Learned a lot with this one.

This small size image does not do justice to the full size file.

A wonderful scene! Personally I prefer this one to the other thightly cropped, I think the space is more balanced!
Lighthouses are so fascinating! :)

Well done - a top result. Love the composition and the wistful glint of the sun. I think I'd have cloned out the small patch of orange at the bottom - or lifted the detail of the area more (but that's nitpicking).

This is really cool, personally I would have taken the figure out of the image, like this a lot - 10

Dark in the foreground, but still excellent!

Sunset/sunrise are the perfect times of day for these shots and you nailed it. Did you agonize over that patch of light in the low middle of the rocks? Maybe a bit of cropping could have taken that tiny bit of distraction away. The person above the light patch is a fine touch. 8

Avery fine picture, but the dark, undetailed mass weighting the bottom down keeps it from being a 10.

Ah yes, the typical shot that I would find in a typical East Canadian Coast travel guide.

This is very well done. The sunrise balances the lighthouse nicely. Unless it's a sunset on the west coast, I guess!

Just WOW! Amazing scene you've captured here. I love how the lighthouse is lighted. Definitely a 10. +fav

Two things I would have did here:
1- Clonning out the person.
2- Clonning out the puddle of water in the bottom of the frame.

Good luck...

I love this photo! It really does belong in a travel guide. I would probably like the shot a bit better if the composition were shifted up slightly to show more sky and less foreground, but it's absolutely beautiful as is. Great job!

I really like what you've done with this photograph - the clouds are perfectly exposed! I would have cropped the bottom into a panoramic pic - esp the light in the middle of the bottom part - very distracting from the overall frame. However that would be my only criticizm - otherwise a perfect picture!

Awesome ! The shadowing of the shore along with sun's highlihghts on the lighthouse make this a top ribbon contender ! 10

simpley beautfiul wish the sun was not quite so bright and love the figure in the distance

Beautiful. I would have liked to see a shot with more of what appears to be reflections of the sky in between the rocks in the foreground. Either that, or without that one spot. It's all by itself and is pulling my eye away from the rest of the image. If there was more of it that would be fantastic. 9
