E Komo Mai means "welcome" in Hawaiian.

I was running out of time and ideas so I decided to reshoot a photo I took previously. Not expecting much.. There will probably be hoardes of beach shots. Just thought it would be more pleasing than a photo of a statue. I wish I had time to take a sunset shot although probably cliche.

Really wish I had my polarizer.. :(

Thank you for all the comments everyone. It was a conscious effort to place that brick structure in the foreground as that's what really makes this photo.

A little disappointed that it didn't do better but my last 2 challenges have been my best so far (Framing/Travel Guides).

I don't understand this comment... the "decaying Building" is what makes this shot one of the best five or six in this challenge. Without it the picture is indistinguishable from a million other tropical island ocean shots.

I guess there's an emphasis on that thing in the bottom left corner? But I'm not sure why.

winner! going to win. totally briliiant - text book stuff really; beautiful water, beautiful sky, beautiful, erm, beauty. being REALLY picky, but i might have cloned out the little white pole in the water, but that's the only comment i can think of. you know, i haven't been on holiday yet this year (well, quick city break, but i was ill so that doesn't count). this is so far the only picture so far that makes me REALLY want to get away, so in terms of the challenge, i t succeeds in my book on all counts. 10.

This is a nicely composed photograph and in a different challenge I would vote it high. In this challenge, however, I don't think the broken whatever in the foreground will entice anyone to want to visit.

The brick structure in this picture makes a photo that would not be very interesting into a very interesting photo.

very impressive. great blues. the use of the tire as a foreground subject makes your picture stand out above others. without a strong foreground object it would get lost in the mix. very nice job.
