No expert editing on this one, just a desperate person pulling all of the stuff out of the bathroom cupboard, laying on the floor with my head under the toilet, trying to take the picture.

I started out with moriarty:

' . substr('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/100000-104999/103142/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1031856.jpg', strrpos('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/100000-104999/103142/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1031856.jpg', '/') + 1) . '

but he moves too fast. By the time I put him in and lay down under the toilet, he's already out.

Cinders was next. She's still a bit too fast.

Jeff was kind enough to put her in the last time. She decided to just sit there, with the door only open a tiny little crack.

I waited.

Not in a happy place -- trying to be patient... A little movement....

Perfect!!!! She opens the door with the paw!!

I thought about moving the placement of the handles because it was expert editing, but I decided it looked a little more natural having the handle cover the face. Besides that, I was tired and lazy. :)

Thanks for the wonderful comments!! We had just gotten back from a 3 week vacation, so it was down to last minute. I hadn't heard of this nursery rhyme, but I was happy that it actually was listed as a mother goose rhyme.

Congrats to all the awesome entries in this challenge!

Great finish with a relatively simple image in an Expert challenge - and a delightful image to go with it.

Voted earlier coming back to comment.

Simple and clean presentation of the nursery rhyme. Love the action of the cat - he seems to be carefully opening the door and peeking out. I do have two critiques/pointers that could make this composition even stronger. I wish we could see more of his eyes for they are either partially blocked by the door or the door handle. The second is that the highlights on the door and part of the cat's paw are very blown out causing a loss of detail. There is still a small bit of detail (some very faint beveling on the door to the left) on the doors but in many areas it looks like just a plain white backdrop.

Very cute... more rustic cupboards would have made it "feel" more right for the theme... but all in all a good effort.
