Taken next to a window, with a black posterboard behind, camera was set on 'Sepia'. I debated on whether or not to soften the blemishes on his cheek, but decided to leave them as this is his real character. Also, I wish I had allowed all of his ear to be included as I took the photo, but you do have to be quick when it comes to taking photos of little children, especially a very energetic 6 year old boy. Plus, I decided to leave part of his shoulder in. He was counting the flower petals of a daisy that was in a vase while I was composing the photo. :-)
Normally I use my Nikon D90 challenges but thought I'd try out my new Olympus PEN camera.

An interesting portrait - half shadow portrait half image. I like it, but think it needs a little more detail of the head - maybe a little distance would have helped it's overall impact.
