the man is correct. There is such wonderful exuberance in the expression, and then the second layer, a pastoral background feel bringing the viewer, or at least me, to an age of farming and a simpler life. For that, the shot its one of the best in the challenge in my eyes.

Thank you Jagar - your words are most appreciated. Definitely another keepsake so no reason to complain as my main aim with photography is to create yearly photo books of my children.

What a great laughing happy smile. There is pure joy in her expression - nothing staged. Now I do have two small critiques that I believe would turn a good shot into a great shot. Bring us closer to the main subject by cropping/zooming in more on the little girl. There is just a bit too much background to let her joyous expression fill the frame and become the dominent focal point. My final critique is on how the title can compliment the photo (oh, man, she is getting nitpicky now). I don't get the sense that this little girl is camping. I did not deduct points but I simply want to point out that "show, don't tell" is a good rule of thumb. The background with what looks like sheep and the rolling hills that are separated into plots invokes more of the idea of a visit to a farm.

Thank you for the super feedback. I will give your suggestion a go. I wasn't that happy with the processing - actually there is very little processing but wondered if I could have improved it with better processing skills. I hadn't thought of the crop.

Good point about the title - I was very rushed as usual to think of a title and that was the first thing that came to my head as we were stood outside our tent in a fantastic site in Bigbury On Sea (only £5 per night with a fantastic sea view!!)
