This has been another very exciting week for me. Thank you.
On the first day the score was at 8.5!!! My poor heart ;-D

I used soap bubbles for this. The kind you buy (usually for kids ;-) where you blow the bubbles through a plastic hoop.
Here’s what Wikipedia says about bubbles: Soap Bubbles

Anyway, the first evening I got absolutely nowhere… it was torturing my brain so much that I couldn’t sleep, so I got up around midnight and started experimenting again. This was the best one I got from the “midnight” batch – but I felt it wasn’t good enough...

The next night after work I started again… I was blowing the bubbles through an empty pen tube. It was such a pain in the ass… I’d blow the bubbles, reach – quick, quick – for my camera and, before I’d even taken a shot, the bubbles had starting bursting… AAArgh. I was getting into such a state with trying to do everything even quicker, I put the wrong end of the pen shell into my mouth several times. I tell ya, that bubble stuff does not taste good.

It was nearly ten p.m. by this time. I got three bubbles exactly the right size. Go for it, Irene. I was crouching down in my favorite “Quasimodo” position – bent knees, back hunched, right arm holding the camera, my right elbow above my head. I photographed the bubbles slightly from the right this time instead of straight on and “YES” “YES” “YES”! My entry image was born ;-)

I felt the look was sort of science fiction-ish, however, Stphq commented that it looked like transparent blue sperm. Had another look at the shot. He’s right! Oops;-))

Thanks for the comments and great score (and the wonderful ribbon).

Congratulations, Irene. Beautiful work, gorgeous colour. (And I don't think that sperm have so many segments?)

I like this. I really like this. I've never done a bubble image so it makes me curious too... You may have inspired me into giving it a shot. Now the question to begin it all. Glass or water? 0.o
