 Time for a break from Fork Variations. This was shot back in May, when it was cool enough to take a walk in the botanical garden. The morning sun is coming at me from the other side of a big black golf umbrella. The flowers on that side of the umbrella are glowing in the light. The flowers on this side of the umbrella are hot because I metered on the umbrella. And focused on the umbrella, too, which is why they're nicely blurred, ready for this SC. I pushed it along w/a little PP. Without this SC I probably would never have gone back to work on these. This has been a lot of fun, working on my own stuff & viewing so many other exciting works. Thank you!

Flowers that glow in the dark...reminds me of night nature scenes in "Avatar."

That umbrella gives an overlay effect, but it's really cool because it doesn't affect the main subject.

Wonderful and mysterious background. It makes you forget the flowers in the foreground, which are very nice, but can't compete here with the background.

beautiful bg colors making the flowers jump out.
has such a nice watercolor effect. the colors just bleed into each other.

Way to go using the umbrella for this striking background. It's more like a painting than photograph and the leaves bottom left are lovely.
