Challenge: Mystery Word Triptych (Advanced Editing VII*)

Appreciate the guesses and outright statements of people stumped. I took the challenge theme to heart, making a puzzle that was not too difficult, but not a cakewalk.

Many said the photos themselves were well shot, so I can only imagine people scored this low because they couldn't solve it.

Anyway, the answer is: COUNTERS

1. Game pieces, in this case backgammon, are often called counters.
2. This part inspired it all. It's a production counter on an old piece of farm or textile equipment.
3. Many of us still have to use our fingers as counters (up to 10 at any rate).

Finally, the title was a play on words. The phrase normally in "granted"... however in this case I was referring to granite counters.

So there is the answer. Two got it correct with "counter" and two got partial credit. (as of the time of this).
