I know lots of people won't like the border but I tried it and liked it and without it it now looks incomplete to me.

Shot the same morning as my last fog shots, but a bit earlier.

Borders only bother me if I think they detract from the image and this looks fine to me (think I'm getting used to the polaroid frames you have used).

I do like the soft tones here and of course fog can be blurry. It looks like a lovely spot for all seasons.

I flip flop about borders. I think sometimes they can really finish an image, rather like presenting it in a frame. I try to stay away from them in challenges (although occasionally succumb!). I rather like it.

An invitation for a refreshing and lovely adventure! I'm ready to go! Although I am enjoying this image very much, I have to say that I'm not a fan of the frame (as you guessed). I don't submit to stock photography sites, but I just don't see the point. Sorry...:-(

Such a soft pink brown! I like this a lot. I adore borders - the wider, the better (well, not always, but this is working perfectly)Lots of DPCers are stock photo people? Really?

Folks who are submitting shots to a stock photo site get in the mindset of never adding any kind of border to an image. After a while, they maybe can't see a border of any kind as anything but a distraction. Quite a few people here do submit to stock photo sites. That's my take on why borders don't go over well here.

I like the shot, & the tones are very good for the fog. The polaroid border is a touch of whimsy at odds with the subject of the photo, since you would probably not use a polaroid camera for this kind of shot. Nothing wrong with a touch of whimsy!

Border or no border, beautiful photograph. I think the flaw of border is the kitschy 3d shadow effect, could go without the inner one and stay only with the bigger frame.
