I like it that you listen to music while you work & get lost in the process. It's what I do & why I enjoy PP time. There is still a recognizable style to your work (aside from the faces) that is just as enjoyable now as ever. It's what keeps me coming back to this thread & the one before it. Good work!

Not sure the exact steps I used. (Need to do a better job in capturing them so I can repeat the process) But I can share how I created the light coming through what appears to be military netting. I created a new layer (black) reduced the opacity, created a layer mask and used a large brush (33% Opcacity) and painted over the parts of the face where I thought the light should shine through.

I always use levels and curves. Lately I have be adding a bit of Gaussian blur to the backgrounds. I like how it creates depth. The eyes were just over sharpened (like 3x)

Lesson learned: Take the time to record steps.

I often listen to music when I am processing and find myself getting lost in the experience.
