This challenge needed some rock formations so I drove down to Memramcook, NB to shoot some pictures down near the Petitcodiac river. This is where the river dumps into the Bay of Fundy. It is a really spectacular sight.

From raw, B&W, some dodging and burning & increased contrast.

Very nice, especially with the sun rays showing through the clouds. Seems a little soft in areas, but I still like it. (voted earlier)

Beautiful sun rays out there. They are the strongest part of the scene. Because of the acute angle to the sun, much of detail on the shady side of the rocks and trees is lost, as in blocked up shadows. The detail in the foreground shows good clarity. Grounds the scene well.

NB, I know this river well. I believe Petitcdiac means "bends like a bow" in Mi'kmaq. Love the sunrays.
