The dog's head is way too dark. His head blends right into the background

nice picture, although the light on the hand made the background a little bit dark

Is there any other reason you've decided to frame this particular image this way had it not been for the challenge? I find no purpose with this photo. Without the frame, it's a poorly lit photo. With the frame, it's distracting and overexposed.

The light is on your hand instead on the dog ... and the ideea of framing something with your hands ... sorry but not so good ...

I think this shot would be greatly improved with some work on lighting. Too harsh on the hand, and could use more on the pup. Nice idea though.

Well, it's different! Maybe you could have cropped it down a bit more as IMO the OOF hands are distracting when you can see the grass clearly!

I think this shot would have been even nicer if the lighting were consistent throughout. Since the front is so bright, the dog comes out a bit dark. You might try just shooting the whole thing in shade next time and leaving the shutter open longer for even, richer colors. Still, cute shot!

I originally had the same idea but didn’t go through with it for fear of someone else doing the same thing. Nice dog :)

Extra points for originality. Pup is a bit underexposed. Wish he (or she) had more light.

Umm... cheap take on the subject... I would be surprised if you placed higher than 200 with this shot.
