This is a great shot! I have three boys and none of them will cooperate for portraits. Any shot I get has to be a candid, which makes it tough. This appears to be a candid and you did a great job of capturing his happiness and enthusiasm! I also like the way you cropped it. Was that intentional? I spent another minute or two trying to come up with a way to improve the shot...and I can't find anything to do better! Well done and good luck in the challenge!

| This is an absolutely beautiful portrait. One of my favorites for the challenge! I love that smile, you caught him just at the right second. Great use of background... doesn't detract from the boy, and is interesting, almost gives it more of a 3d look. I also love your cropping which is very pleasing to the eye. Beautiful use of black and white! Solid 10! Great job! |

| You are luck to have such a good model. I am not sure why but his face looks grainier than it should based upon the background. It mat be a little overprocessed, it shows in his teeth also. I do fell that a lot of us get too close to the monitor and don't get back to look, so we just pick them apart from about three inches. I backed away and have the same thoughts, good picture with its faults. |
