Getting some positive comments so far (well, i'm happy with the two comments i've received in the first 12 hours, i hope there are more to come).

I know this isn't technically perfect, but I wanted to try to make something feel 'real', not just some hollywood-esque image setup in a studio. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just not what i wanted.
And i know there are errors within the shot from the layers overlapping, but you try to keep a 6-month old baby perfectly still while he's feeding and you're bouncing a flash off a reflector 4' behind his head. This was the best layer job i could get and i wasn't going to push my luck with him as a subject any further. Those who have kids should understand that.

So yeah, I really don't care how this scores (i'd love to see it do well, but if it tanks i'll know that there are technical problems that detracted a lot of points), i'm quite pleased with the outcome.

Anybody who feels this is 'snapshot'y, i was trying to make this look that way - like an everyday scene with this ghostly person over the baby, that no matter how mundane, how ho-hum, that they'll be watched over and cared for.

A very emotional and intense image, photographically it isn't fantastic but somehow that works here, it's just an everyday scene, no weird studio or anything, it makes it a little too real man.

You better knock on wood after this challenge, I hope this photo never happens to anyone haha.
