It was really pain to get this down to 150K. I had to reduce size to 620 and then use quality 9 to get in the limit

thanks Tom, I really like this place, the colors are wonderful. I had taken some shots before, but during the day and the colors are washed out. So I got up at 6:00am this time and drove down 15miles to reach there before sunrise to capture the colors well and I guess they did come out well.

Fifth place. Well deserved, and I am sure it would have been even higher if you could submit bigger files. I would love to see a poster of this made from a big format film. Probably enough details to study for hours.

This is a great shot, I gave it a 10 and thought you might have achieved one or both of your revised goals. Judging from this and your steep upward trend it shouldnt be too long!

Superb. Wonderful. What I wouldn't give to see a blue sky on this - you were robbed by nature. Even with the sky - this is a GREAT submission.

Surely the best shot in framing! Crisp image, I am drawn through to the background framed by the arch which remains the foreground subjec. Great - 10

returning for comments.
This is a very competant entry. Most soothing to the eyes are the beige and ochre tones. The portal is detailed and very well represented and complying with the challenge. very good work.

Think this is the perfect example of framing and the subject is very nice, both the forground frame and the background main subject. If I should put in some critique then I think this image would have tolerated litle more colorsaturation and maybe more contrast (not sure with the contrast).

Seems a little skewed? Or maybe it's just the perspective given by the tunnel .. .

Nice focus on both objects in the photo.

wonderful texture and sharpness and you meet the theme challenge well; my only wish is a slightly wider crop ; it seems to b cut off at the base sides and the c olums appear tilted ; nonetheless this is one of my highest rated images; congratulations.

This is a beautiful photo. My only small issue is that it appears to be leaning to the left. 9
