Photographer's Notes:
This was difficult for me. I understand the concept of framing but to find a subject that illustrates the concept (rather than simply using the concept to frame a subject) was harder. I finally settled in at the sculpture garden in the Bellevue Park. I rejected a few photo sets because of impossible DOF problems. And in the end selected this one.

You definitely framed the background, but it seems to me that this image would be much stronger if the background was something worth taking a picture of. The sculpture is a good subject for the foreground, but the bush wouldn't be a worthy subject on its own. As the focus is on the background in this shot, it would be a better image if there was something else in the shot to make it worth our time to peek through the sculpture.

This is nothing but frame, LOL. Interesting frame but it should not be the main subject.

Go closer/crop next time, and get rid of the green spots around the frame.
