 Quick iPhone snapshot at the beginning of a field trip with my daughters class to a roller skating rink.

So my current run at DPC has focused on cell phone images and lensbaby work. Surely wont get me any ribbons (maybe a brown as I have two scores in the 4s right now) but I have been capturing images that are going to be way more pleasing to me in the long run.

Beautiful shot Tim! I get a Rockwell feel with this shot, specially with the girl on the left and the person in plaid shirt walking behind her offering a contrast to the smiling girls on the right!

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives:Delightful (and highly structured) composition. The juxtaposition between the minimalist vehicle and the cheery children is tremendous. I really like the reflected 'No Parking' sign too. The slightly flat toning works really well - it offers a neutrality that doesn't seek to lead the eye allowing it to explore quite naturally.

Critical stuff: Nope

Overall: A charming and delightful image.
