Greetings from the Critique Club!
Very poignant image here, you did a great job of capturing this moment of what looks like some pain and a lot of old age. I can see from the angle you shot that cutting off his head for the challenge would have also meant cutting off a lot of his upper body, which we definitely need to see in order for the shot to work.
Despite the DNMC comments as his head is indeed in the shot, I gave you a 6 in voting because I do feel that sometimes the power of an image is more important than the challenge specs. I see that posty feels this way too, so cherish that red, it often means a lot more than many think.
Congrats on thinking outside of the box and risking a beating in terms of score for entering a shot that resonated with you, and others. Please keep up the good work.

| not cropped out - just not a visible face. sorry, but that's a dnmc in my opinion. otherwise nice image though. |

| Compelling image! Doesn't quite meet the challenge, IMHO, since the head has not been cropped from the image. True, his face is covered, but this is about not showing the head. |

| I like the mishmash of textures and patterns in this. Might not be quite what folks expected for the challenge (ie his head isn't cropped) but he does have his head disguised from view! |
