Traditional mixed with modern. I love the modern look of the glass pitcher and the 'behive' glass.

The title is "Summer Lemonade" in Portuguese

Lighting
It is surprising what results you can get with regular items around the house if you just experiment:-) Room was totally dark. Had one small spotlight desk lamp off to the right. To diffuse the light I used a wicker bread basket over the spotlight. I then light painted the scene with bouncing the light from a small flashlight into an aluminum pie tin.

Considered titles :
Cool Lemonade on Hot Summer Night ---
Limonada fresca en la noche de verano caliente
Limonada fresca na quente noite de verão

It is always interesting to hear what viewers think about a shot. About 1/3 of commentors think that there is too much in the composition. Nothing wrong with the opinion - just plays into the less is more preference:-)

My reasoning for the arrangement: according to The Paint Basket there are 17 different composition styles (i.e. U-shape, L-shape, etc). I chose a 'pyramid' style.

I like this one. I, too, got comments on my entry about being too busy and still did fairly well. Traditional still life usually has many elements to it. Nice placement.

I'm fascinated by your lighting technique. I also use tin pies but as cutouts! Congrats on the tt.

Very nice Still Life, one of the few classic looking ones in the challenge. Congratulations on top 10, but I thought this would score higher. :-)

Probably one of the better ones, but I still feel a little cluttered.

Wow. That sunflower is restrained fire. Like a setting sun, still in the observers eyes, blocked by a friendly hand.

I think you have put to many objects into this shot.

Great arrangement, but it seems there could be a little more yellow coming through. Just seems a little flat.

I like the lemons. Maybe a touch too busy for my taste. The sunflower, glass and wine carafe could be eliminated, but that's just my opinion. Good luck. ;)
