 This is the fresnel lens in a Ford Escape headlight, seen larger-than-life. Magnification on the lens was just under 1:1. The lens hood was touching the headlight. So it's a "true" macro in every sense of the word. Never mind that it looks like the Disney Concert Hall :-)

The reflections and light are perfect- and you don't usually see these geometric metal abstract style shots done this well, even when people are shooting a sculpture or modern building. And all YOU needed was your headlight?
